About/bio
Diana runs Diana Coop Conservation and provides paper conservation treatments and consulting services to private individuals, the gallery, library, archive and museum sector and government agencies throughout New Zealand. She offers treatments primarily of works of art on paper: watercolours, prints, drawings as well as heritage documents, maps and plans, and photographs. Diana provides additional services for organisations to assist with risk assessment, preservation priorities and planning.

Diana has a BAppSc in the Conservation of Cultural Materials from the University of Canberra and over 25 years experience in paper conservation. She has worked in numerous institutions across New Zealand and Australia including Archives New Zealand as conservator and then manager of Collection Care, Queensland Art Gallery, National Gallery Australia and National Archives Australia. In addition, she undertook an internship at the British Museum.

Diana is passionate about conservation, she is a Churchill Fellow and has been an active member of the NZCCM.
